Updates to CWD Education

Hunters are crucial in managing Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) and protecting wildlife for future generations.

CWD is 100% fatal for all infected cervids. By participating in CWD surveillance and testing, you help ensure the health of our deer populations and preserve our hunting traditions. Every sample collected adds valuable data, allowing provincial biologists to track and contain the spread of this disease.

Check out the hunter education video we just released with Dylan Eyers of Eat Wild.

Penasq’t (Pennask) Access Management Project

Project by Hunters for BC in collaboration with Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation, FESBC and the Okanagan Nation Alliance

Conservation in Action

The Penasq’t Road Rehabilitation and Habitat Enhancement Project was developed in response to extensive forest development within the Penasq Lake area and the need to mitigate the impacts of Mountain Pine Beetle (MPB)-related forest development activities on critical wildlife habitat. The objectives of the Penasq’t Project are to rehabilitate temporary forest roads and develop and deliver priority habitat enhancement activities that will benefit ecological, biocultural, and forest values in the Penasq’t Lake area.
